Christkindlmarkt 2025: What’s new, including more vendors, new photos ops and an extra weekend

The 33rd annual Christkindlmarkt will return this year with a larger footprint, an extra weekend and free entry on Friday evenings.

The expansion comes after years of record-breaking attendance, with larger crowds during peak times Friday evenings, when entry is free 5-8 p.m., and Saturdays.

“Christkindlmarkt has become a cherished part of the Lehigh Valley’s holiday traditions, and with attendance reaching new heights year after year, it’s clear our community is ready for more,” Curt Mosel, ArtsQuest chief operating officer, said in a news release.

Here’s what’s new this year:

Winter Wonderland, an expanded holiday village in the area previously home to the ice-skating rink
More decor, enhanced festival lighting and more photo opportunities
A second entrance/exit to reduce congestion
A new home for St. Nick, designed with Bavarian-inspired decor
A family craft area
A new glassblowing experience and demonstration area
Outdoor igloo rental packages, including food and beverage options
Expanded vendor booths and huts
A large hospitality tent capable of seating up to 155 guests and available for private rental as well as additional seating and dining for the public during open hours
Events, including cookie decorating and martini nights, speed dating and art making

This year’s event also will include a permanent stage that will host upward of 75 live holiday performances. The popular St. Nick breakfasts will return, along with other character and adult-themed holiday breakfasts.

Christkindlmarkt is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursdays and Sundays on the following dates: Nov. 14-16, 21-23, 28-30; Dec. 4-7, 11-14 and 18-21. For ticket prices, more information and to purchase tickets, go to Christmascity.org.
