A helicopter has crashed in the woods near the Penn’s Peak concert venue in Carbon County on Thursday afternoon.

The crash was reported around 3 p.m. in the area of Maury and Fire Tower roads, just north of the concert venue in Penn Forest Township. The location is just outside Jim Thorpe.

The coroner’s office was called to the scene, according to Carbon County 911 dispatch.
