‘Crealdé at 50: Where Creativity Builds Community’
WHAT: Crealdé School of Art, where thousands have painted, fired, shot and sculpted, celebrates its golden anniversary with a special exhibit curated by Barbara Tiffany. The works on view, by current and former faculty members in painting, ceramics, photography, sculpture and mixed media, reflect the school’s “enduring values of artistic excellence, cultural expression and mentorship,” the exhibit description says. Also on display are archival photographs, publications and other historical documentation that trace Crealdé’s evolution from its founding in 1975 to its current role as a nationally recognized center for community-based arts education.

VIEW OF OYSTER BAY: This leaded-glass window by Louis Comfort Tiffany comes to Winter Park for a
visit from its long-term home at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

See the debut of Fry’s “Summer in the Garden” (1911), a significant portrait of Vanessa Bell recently acquired by the museum and displayed in the U.S. for the first time.
