CT coach who spent 53 years on sideline to enter CT Field Hockey Hall of Fame

Longtime North Branford field hockey coach Babby Nuhn is one of six individuals who will be inducted into the Connecticut Field Hockey Hall of Fame Sept. 7 at 3 p.m. at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington.

Nuhn has been the field hockey coach at North Branford for 53 years and her teams have won seven state titles, the first in 1980 and the last coming in 2023.

The 1973 Granby field hockey team, which won the first state championship contested in Connecticut, will also be inducted, as will Whitney Martin Vozzolo (college player, Southern Connecticut State University), Michelle Fontaine (umpire), Morgan Sanson (high school player, Thomaston), Brooke Wadhams Harris (high school player, Wamogo) and Nikki Tsoukanelis (high school player, Guilford).
