A Stamford man is facing federal charges for allegedly trafficking fentanyl and cocaine.
Brandon Turner, also known as “Bizz,” 31, has been charged by federal criminal complaint with possession with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl and possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Turner, who was detained in state custody for unrelated charges, appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Maria E. Garcia in Bridgeport on Wednesday and was ordered detained, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.
According to court records, an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Bridgeport High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force and the Stamford Police Department’s Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit identified Turner as an alleged narcotics dealer.
In July 2024, investigators allegedly made a controlled purchase of fentanyl from Turner, court records show. On April 21, employees at an apartment complex where Turner worked as a maintenance man allegedly found a tool bag in a storage room that contained “790 grams of fentanyl and one kilogram of cocaine,” according to court records.
Investigators alleged that the investigation, “which included a review of surveillance camera and the use of DNA analysis, determined that Turner had placed the bag in the storage room.”
A court-authorized search of Turner’s vehicle also allegedly turned up additional quantities of fentanyl and cocaine, according to court records.
Turner is facing a mandatory minimum term of 10 years in prison and a maximum term of life on the fentanyl charge and a mandatory minimum of five years and a maximum of 40 years on the cocaine charge, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.
