CT man dies days after skydiving accident in Massachusetts

A Connecticut man has died days after he was injured in a skydiving accident in Massachusetts.

The victim was identified Thursday as 62-year-old Robert Szabo, according to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office.

The office said Szabo was injured in a skydiving accident on Saturday at the Orange Municipal Airport. He was taken in an ambulance to the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, where he died on Tuesday evening, according to the DA’s office.

Szabo was expected to undergo an autopsy conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit, the Orange Police Department and the Federal Aviation Administration.
