CT man found guilty of robbery and firearms charges in connection with carjacking

A New London man was convicted on robbery, larceny and firearm charges Friday in connection with a 2023 carjacking.

A New London Superior Court jury found 32-year-old Victor Hall guilty of first-degree robbery, third-degree robbery, second-degree larceny, larceny of a motor vehicle and criminal possession of a firearm, according to the Connecticut Division of Criminal Justice.

Court records show that, on March 10, 2023, officers from the New London Police Department received a report about a carjacking and notified nearby departments. When Waterford Police Department officers observed a car matching the description of the stolen vehicle, they attempted to stop the driver, later identified as Hall.

According to court records, Hall engaged the police in pursuit and eventually crashed the car. He then attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended. Court records show that a firearm was recovered from the immediate area.

Paul J. Narducci, State’s Attorney for the New London Judicial District, thanked “the New London and Waterford Police Departments, as well as the Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection’s Division of Scientific Services for their work in this case.”

Judge Elizabeth C. Leaming, who presided over the trial, scheduled Hall’s sentencing for Jan. 28, 2026 in New London Superior Court.
