CT man seriously injured in motorcycle crash in Manchester

A man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash in Manchester on Sunday.

Police responded to the area of Grant Road and Hartland Road just before 2 p.m. on the report of a motorcyclist lying in the road and found a 21-year-old Manchester man suffering from serious injuries, according to Sgt. Michael Williams of the Manchester Police Department.

The victim received medical care from crews with the Manchester Fire Department before being taken to Hartford Hospital. His condition was not immediately clear.

A preliminary investigation found that the man was operating a motorcycle south on Grant Road when he lost control and crashed near the intersection with Hartland Road, Williams said. The crash remains under investigation by the police department’s Traffic Unit.
