CT site near interstate targeted for redevelopment sells for $640,000

A property not far from Interstate 84, and called an attractive redevelopment site, has sold for $640,000, according to O,R&L Commercial Real Estate.

The site, 199 Oakwood Ave., West Hartford, contains more than 9.000 square feet and has 35 parking spaces, according to O,R&L Commercial Real Estate. This building is in what the company said is a “well-located, under-served and growing part of West Hartford.”

The building has been vacant since 2018. O,R&L said that Dr. Michael Stokes purchased the property to redevelop it  into a “state-of-the-art mental health facility.”

The site was previously purchased by West Hartford Dynasty Cuisine Group, LLC in 2023, which had intended to  redevelop the building as a restaurant, but “after they had decided to take their business growth in a different direction they decided to sell the property in 2024,”  according to O,R&L Commercial Real Estate.

Thomas Wilks of O,R&L Commercial represented the seller, West Hartford Dynasty Cuisine Group, LLC,  according to O,R&L Commercial Real Estate. Stokes could not be reached for comment Wednesday. There was no pending application for the site listed on the West Hartford Planning and Zoning site.

O,R&L Commercial, LLC said it has offices in Branford and Rocky Hill, and represents landlords, tenants, sellers and buyers in office, retail, medical, multi-family, investment and industrial markets.
