CT woman arrested for allegedly striking a bicyclist with vehicle and fleeing

A New Haven woman is facing multiple charges for allegedly crashing a motor vehicle into a bicyclist and evading the scene on Saturday morning in Madison, police said.

The alleged incident occurred shortly before noon on Horse Pond Road near Kimberly Lane in Madison, and the bicyclist was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital with serious injuries, according to the Madison Police Department.

Police used license plate reader technology and the South Central Regional Traffic Crash Team and Madison police identified and located 32-year-old Jacqueline Lisosky, who was charged with evading responsibility with serious physical injury and assault in the second degree with a motor vehicle, according to the Madison Police Department.

Lisosky was being held in lieu of $200,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday at 9 a.m.
