A 10-year-old was taken to a hospital after being bitten by a dog in New Britain over the weekend.
The incident was reported at a residence at 81 Carver St. where emergency crews responded on Sunday around 6:30 p.m. on the report of a dog bite, according to the New Britain Police Department.
Police said a boy who did not live at the home was bitten by a dog that belongs to the residents. The child was taken to the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center for “treatment and monitoring” and has been listed in stable condition, according to police.
The dog has been put in a 10-day quarantine, police said.
The animal’s owners have been cooperative with animal control officers, according to police.
