Dolphins’ center Aaron Brewer out vs. Bucs, ending iron-man streak

MIAMI GARDENS — Miami Dolphins center Aaron Brewer’s iron-man streak is over.

Brewer, who entered Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers questionable with a neck injury, is officially out after he was announced among Dolphins inactive players 90 minutes before the 1 p.m. kickoff at Hard Rock Stadium.

Brewer had a streak of 66 consecutive starts and 75 consecutive games played snapped. He had made his previous 15 starts with Miami this season and all 17 in 2024. The streak extended through the 2023 and 2022 seasons with the Tennessee Titans and he played the final nine games of 2021 with Tennessee, which took him as an undrafted player in 2020.

Without Brewer, second-year reserve offensive lineman Andrew Meyer could be in line to make his first NFL start and play in his first game after making the Dolphins’ roster in 2024 as an undrafted rookie. Meyer did not play a snap last season and he had been on injured reserve for a triceps ailment for the first 15 games of 2025 before his Saturday activation off IR.

Dolphins linebacker Tyrel Dodson is active after he entered Sunday questionable with a chest injury.

Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick was deemed out Friday due to his calf injury. Other Dolphins inactives were quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who is available as an emergency third quarterback, wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, tackle Kendall Lamm and outside linebacker Derrick McLendon.

McLendon was a healthy scratch after being elevated to the game-day roster from the practice squad Saturday.

Westbrook-Ikhine, who was a free-agent pickup of Miami in the offseason, is a healthy inactive for a second straight game.
