Dolphins’ edge rusher Bradley Chubb active vs. Commanders in Spain; CB Rasul Douglas out

MADRID — Miami Dolphins outside linebacker Bradley Chubb is set to play against the Washington Commanders on Sunday after an injury scare two days earlier.

Chubb entered Sunday questionable with a foot ailment that popped up on the team’s injury report after Friday’s practice.

He was revealed as active 90 minutes prior to the 9:30 a.m. Eastern time kickoff from Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu Stadium for the NFL’s first game in Spain.

Chubb should lead Miami’s pass-rushing corps in the second game since fellow outside linebacker Jaelan Phillips was traded. The Dolphins also have Chop Robinson back from concussion protocol.

While Chubb is playing, the Dolphins will be without cornerback Rasul Douglas for a second consecutive game with foot and ankle ailments. Douglas entered Sunday questionable.
Without him, JuJu Brents is again expected to start opposite Jack Jones.

Wide receiver and kick returner Dee Eskridge is also out after being deemed questionable with an ailing shoulder.

Healthy inactives for the Dolphins are defensive tackle Matthew Butler, outside linebacker Andre Carter and quarterback Quinn Ewers, who’s available as emergency third quarterback.
