One person is in custody after fleeing a crash at the former City Steam Brewery building in Hartford early Wednesday.
The collision occurred around 2:45 a.m. at 942 Main St. where at least one person took off on foot, according to Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police Department.
Boisvert said an individual was later apprehended who is believed to have been involved. He could not immediately identify the suspect, as he allegedly refused to give police his name, according to Boisvert.
The building where the crash occurred formerly housed City Steam Brewery and Cafe, which announced in March 2024 it would be closing after 44 years in business. It went by Brown Thomson and Company for 18 years and later as City Steam for 26 years, the company said at the time.
City Steam still distributes its beers to more than 1,500 bars, super markets and liquor stores throughout the state, according to its website.
