EPC football all-conference team: Easton’s Cole Ordway and Parkland’s TJ Lawrence honored as offensive, defensive MVPs

Easton and Parkland were the only two teams to get through the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference regular season with perfect 10-0 records.

So, it should not be a surprise that one Red Rover and one Trojan have been recognized as EPC MVPs.

Cole Ordway, Easton’s senior quarterback who just set a single-game school record for TDs in a game with seven, has been saluted as the EPC offensive player of the year, and Parkland junior TJ Lawrence, who has been a force on both sides of he ball for the Trojans, has been selected as defensive MVP in a vote of league coaches.

Ordway has completed 71 of 110 passes for 992 yards and 14 touchdowns and has also rushed for 1,468 yards and 29 TDs.

Lawrence has rushed for 904 yards and 22 touchdowns on offense and has caught 11 passes for 90 yards and another TD. From his inside linebacker position, he was second on the team in tackles with 48, including five for loss and one interception, and one fumble recovery.

Lawrence was also one of several players to be chosen as all-conference first team on both sides of the ball. Bethlehem Catholic’s Carter Vassa, Nazareth’s Marquez Wimberly, Freedom’s Daniel Schiffert and Easton’s Kurtis Crossman were first-team choices on both offense and defense.

Here’s a complete look at the all-EPC team, and note that Easton had seven first-team all-conference selections, the most of any team:
