Cardi B didn’t disappoint for the thousand or so fans who lined up Saturday outside the Palmer Park Mall for a chance to get a glimpse of the rapper.

The Grammy Award-winning singer arrived just after 4 p.m. in true celebrity style — with a full police escort and several hours late — for her meet-and-greet at the Spin Me Round record store inside the mall.

The event, originally scheduled to start at 2 p.m., was open only to a select number of fans who purchased her new album “Am I the Drama?”. Those selected got to have their picture taken with her.

The Lehigh Valley visit was one of only a handful of in-store appearances Cardi B had planned to promote the album. Other appearances were scheduled for New York, Georgia, Texas and California.

Palmer Township police on Friday warned in a Facebook post that Cardi B would not be performing and that the general public would not have a chance to meet her. Still, that did not stop a throng of fans from standing in line for hours.

Lehigh Daily reported that the first fans arrived at the mall at 6:30 a.m. Cardi B’s appearance stretched into the night, and she signed autographs for a few lucky fans as she left the mall, video shared by Lehigh Daily showed.

“Am I the Drama?” was released Friday, just days after Cardi B revealed her fourth pregnancy — her first child with New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs. The release also comes just weeks after she emerged victorious from a Los Angeles courtroom in a lawsuit filed by a security guard alleging assault during a doctor’s visit during a previous pregnancy.

Following the release, Cardi B will head into the Little Miss Drama Tour, her first arena tour The 30-plus date trek begins Feb. 11 in Palm Desert, California, and wraps in Atlanta in April, with stops in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York and Toronto.
