Love local? So does Freehand Goods.
Since 2016, this Orlando-based outfit has been committed to showcasing goods — apparel and jewelry, home, health and beauty items, art, foodstuffs and more — all of it crafted right here in the Sunshine State.
And when this East End Market stall decided to branch out and open a shop in Orlando’s College Park neighborhood, they added a beer bar, so they could showcase everything that Florida brewers are doing, as well
This Sunday, from noon to 5 p.m., the first-ever Freehand Fest will celebrate all things Florida in the shop’s backyard parking lot, featuring live music, food, shopping, a beer festival and a charity casino benefiting Freehand’s longtime charity partner: the Florida State Parks Foundation. In fact, the company donates up to 10 percent of its annual sales to nonprofits, as part of its commitment to conserve and restore the swamp- and shore-borne flora and fauna you’ll find in many of its popular designs.
“This is our first time doing an outdoor festival, and the main idea is to highlight the businesses we work with,” says Freehand Goods co-founder Jacob Zepf. “The main ones include our apparel partner, Impress Ink, which will be doing live T-shirt printing on the day of the event.”
A play-money blackjack table will help raise money for the Florida State Parks Foundation, featuring prizes and raffles for those who make donations.
And then, there’s the beer.

Admission to Freehand Fest is free, but ticketed activities and events abound, the star of which will be a Florida Craft Beer Showcase ($35). Those who attend will enjoy unlimited pours from 15 Florida breweries, each grouped by region: North, Central, South and West Coast. Grab your ticket online ahead of time; it’ll be $45 on the day of the event.
“The ticket gives you access to all the beer, a commemorative beer fest cup, a little casino money to get you started at the blackjack tables and you get to vote and pick the winner of the beer festival,” says Zepf.
Freehand sister business, The Neighbors, will be setting up a mocktail bar and additionally, a $60 workshop inside will teach participants how to make their own cologne or perfume.

“There will also be some kids’ activities, including trick-or-treating and a scavenger hunt,” Zepf says.
Local eats on-hand will include a tent from Pizza Bruno, Tamale Co. Modern Mexican Kitchen & Bar‘s big ‘ol food truck and The Pink Salamander‘s trailer, serving up smashburgers and more. Seating will be available outside and within, where the shop and bar will be open as usual.
“We love showcasing Florida-made products,” says Zepf, “but the beer is extra special. Florida beer doesn’t always get highlighted as it should and there are only a few places around town that serve some of these smaller breweries’ pours. We’re excited to have people come out, sample and enjoy.”
