As Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship prepares for its Florida debut, guests can anticipate new Marvel-themed entertainment options on board, the company shared earlier this month.
The Wish-class Disney Destiny, which will sail out of Fort Lauderdale beginning in November, features a heroes and villains theme that plays into the ship’s live shows and dining venues. The Black Panther-inspired Grand Hall plays host to the “Sounds of Wakanda” musical celebration and two traveling storytellers, Zayah and Gamble, who tell tales of classic Disney villains.
The same duo will host a variety of experiences throughout each voyage, including “With Great Power: A Marvel Comedy Show.” The adults-only show takes guests on a journey through the Marvel Cinematic Universe using sketch comedy.
“Disney Hercules” brings larger-than-life characters to a live musical stage show that’s exclusive to the Disney Destiny. Guests of all ages can enjoy “Frozen, A Musical Spectacular,” which puts a fresh spin on the familiar tale of Anna, Elsa and Olaf. “Disney Seas the Adventure” stars popular Disney and Pixar characters in an original production.
Disney, Pixar and Marvel heroes and villains come to life in venues throughout the ship. Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King provides a musical dining experience, complete with themed cuisine, that celebrates Simba’s journey to becoming king.

The Worlds of Marvel brings to life characters from Guardians of the Galaxy, complete with the mix tapes featured in the films. 1923 helps guests travel back in time in a venue named after the year The Walt Disney Studios opened its doors.
While many of the ship’s experiences are geared toward audiences of all ages, several venues are crafted with adults in mind. Visit De Vil’s for cocktails in a stylish lounge setting, or indulge in “spirits” in the Haunted Mansion Parlor. A “Pirates of the Caribbean” theme can be found at Cask and Cannon, while a Doctor Strange vibe finds a home at The Sanctum.
The Sanctum will be Disney Cruise Line’s first lounge inspired by the powerful sorcerers and mystical artifacts of Doctor Strange. The venue offers an array of mocktails, cocktails, spirits, coffees and specialty menu items. (Courtesy Disney Cruise Line)
Heroes and villains pop up even in the most unexpected places, like the stern of the ship where Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots cling to the vessel’s exterior.
Disney Destiny will celebrate its maiden voyage on Nov. 20, kicking off its inaugural season of four- and five-night cruises from Fort Lauderdale to the Bahamas and Western Caribbean.
