Florida gas prices increased at the beginning of the week before decreasing by the week’s end.
Florida’s state average for gas prices is $3.04 per gallon, according to AAA – The Auto Club Group.
The state average had gone up by $0.18 per gallon before falling $0.09 by Sunday.
The current price is $0.08 more than last week, $0.10 less than last month and $0.07 less than last year.
“Since the fuel market has been stable, retailers are constantly adjusting prices to attract customers,” said spokesman Mark Jenkins.
The most expensive metro markets are West Palm Beach-Boca Raton ($3.22), Naples ($3.12) and Gainesville ($3.10).
The least expensive metro markets are Crestview-Fort Walton Beach ($2.80), Pensacola ($2.80) and Panama City ($2.85).
