Florida’s Turnpike back open after crews clear overturned tractor trailer

Florida’s Turnpike was shut down Tuesday morning after a tractor trailer overturned in the northbound lanes in Osceola County.

The incident occurred before dawn beyond mile marker 244 near Kissimmee.

FL511 showed the overturned truck continuing to block all of the northbound lanes as of 8 a.m., with at least one crane truck on site preparing to right the vehicle.

By 8:45 a.m., the truck had been moved to one side of the highway, but crews were still working to clear the crash scene.

The right shoulder remained closed by 9:30 but traffic was allowed back on the highway.

No other details about the crash have been released.
