Fun to Do: Holiday market, ‘A Christmas Carol,’ circus acts and more

The 12th annual Holiday Yule Log Bonfire and Holiday Marketplace returns to Norfolk and will feature a visit from Santa, seasonal cocktails, warm beverages, an ice carving demonstration from Chisel and Shaker, family-friendly entertainment, carols by The Doorway Singers, and more. Noon to 8 p.m. Saturday at Town Point Park, Waterside Drive. The event is free. “A Christmas Carol,” presented by Virginia Musical Theatre and featuring music by Chip Gallagher. 8 p.m. Friday, 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Sandler Center for the Performing Arts, 201 Market St., Virginia Beach.
