Gaining more tough yards, William Eloe pushes Naperville North past Naperville Central. And into the playoffs.

Senior running back William Eloe scored on a 1-yard run in the final seconds to lift Naperville North over crosstown rival Naperville Central in the regular-season finale on Friday.

Eloe finished with 108 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries as the Huskies (6-3, 5-2) clinched a playoff berth as well as a share of the Southwest Valley Blue Conference title.

A week earlier, Eloe scored both touchdowns in Naperville North’s 14-6 upset win over Class 8A power Lincoln-Way East.

Sophomore running back Ryan Jacobson rushed for two touchdowns for the Redhawks (2-7, 2-5).
