‘Good fun for everybody’: Lehigh Valley pottery painting studio reopens at new location

A local pottery painting studio has found a new home after it relocated last week to Promenade Saucon Valley.

Color Me Mine held a soft opening Friday at the Upper Saucon Township shopping center, franchisee Tara Nagabhyru said. It will also hold a ribbon cutting at 5 p.m. Sept. 4, according to the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce website.

Located next to Batch Microcreamery, customers can choose from a selection of unpainted pieces such as plates, mugs, bowls and figurines before personalizing them with their own designs and colors. The studio, which also hosts events, later glazes customers’ pieces and prepares them for pickup 7-10 days later.

“It’s good fun for everybody,” Nagabhyru said.

Color Me Mine operates 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

In a release from early this year, Patrick Turner, the Promenade’s general manager, said, “Color Me Mine provides a fun experience for guests to share while visiting the center, and we are proud that Promenade Saucon Valley has been selected as the next home for this growing and very popular franchise.

“Our leasing team has been hard at work attracting some of the top names in retail, dining and entertainment, and we are continually growing our tenant roster with inspirational new tenants like Color Me Mine that are transforming this center into a true live-work-play destination,” Turner said.

The studio originally opened in 2015 at 25 E. Third St. in Bethlehem before it closed in January to relocate to the Promenade.

“We were looking for a lease, a new place, for a while and the Promenade is a good fit,” Nagabhyru said.

The chain itself was founded in 1991, the Promenade website said.
