Police say they are investigating after a gunshot fired inside a residence in Norwich struck a neighbor’s home on Wednesday.
Officers responded to the area of 229 Boswell Ave. at 7:40 p.m. on the report of shots being fired and secured the scene after finding evidence of gunfire, according to Lt. Kyle Besse of the Norwich Police Department.
“Officers quickly determined this was an isolated incident and there was no ongoing threat to the public,” Besse said in a statement.
Detectives responded to the scene and conducted a preliminary investigation, which found that a single gunshot was fired in a residence and struck a neighbor’s home, according to Besse.
No injuries were reported.
