No. 8 Boone (4-0) at No. 12 Ocoee (3-1)
Coverage by Chris Hays
PRE-GAME NOTES:
Boone is off to a 4-0 start for the first time since its 2007 state runner-up finish.
The Braves are 4-1 against Ocoee — but the loss came a year ago, 35-31.
No. 4 Kissimmee Osceola (3-1) at No. 3 Jones (2-2)
Coverage by Ken Jackson
PRE-GAME NOTES:
Two 2024 state runner-up teams collide with no district ramifications but plenty of motivation.
The Tigers are 3-0 against Osceola since 2022 but it was 28-20 in 2023 and 34-28 last year.
Both of Jones’ losses, to Evans 28-18 and Edgewater 20-17, could have gone either way.
The same could be said of Osceola’s 17-14 loss against Lake Mary.
No. 1 Edgewater (4-0) at Apopka (1-3)
Coverage by Philip Rossman-Reich
PRE-GAME NOTES:
Edgewater is 4-0 against Apopka since the Metro Conference rivalry was renewed in 2021. The Eagles won 35-0 last season at home and are projected to again cruise in a tough year for the Blue Darters.
Lake Buena Vista (3-1) at No. 11 West Orange (3-1)
Coverage by Jordon Lawrenz
West Orange saw its winning streak snapped in a 27-21 loss to Boone last week.
The Warriors, unbeaten at home since the start of the 2024 season, handled newcomer Lake Buena Vista 35-7 last year in their first meeting.
Lake Buena Vista was 3-7 last year in its second season.
