#8 Oscar Smith 67, Grassfield 48

Cason Fitch led all scorers with 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Corrin Buckingham added 15 points and six assists. Rashaun Newsome had 16 points, and Stephen Walton had 12.

#10 Denbigh 74, Kecoughtan 60

Nasir Johnson scored 31 points and classmate Jai’Quan Gray had 10 on their Senior Night with the Patriots. For the Warriors, Briant Galbreath scored 18 points and Latrell Murray 15.

Nondistrict

Cox 81, OakTree Academy 34

Owen Jones’ 15 points and Graeson Lake’s 11 propelled the Falcons. Isaac Losher led the Grizzlies with 14.

Deep Creek 63, Tallwood 57

Jayce Bailey and Julyan Morris each had 16 points to lead the Hornets. Bradley Barham finished with 11 points. Jordan Fillmore led the Lions with 15 points, while Embri Valentine had 14.

Private schools

Atlantic Shores Christian 73, StoneBridge 30

Justin Jones scored 19 points and Noah Eddy had 12 points and seven assists for the Seahawks. Chris Mason had 12 points, and Jonas Walker had three points and seven rebounds. Daniel Morisi led the Cavaliers with nine points.

Greenbrier Christian Academy 80, Hampton Christian 72, OT

Luke MacDermod had 29 points and 13 rebounds for the Gators, and David Bradley had 15 points, 12 rebounds and six assists. Josh Schneider had 22 points, eight rebounds and two assists.

Summit Christian Academy 62, Sweethaven Christian Academy 16

Noah Moore, DJ Forrest and Oliver Clydesdale combined for 36 points for the Eagles. Moore had 13, Forrest 12 and Clydesdale 11. Ethan Primavera led Sweethaven with eight points.

Maddie Leach had 24 points, five rebounds and six steals for the Peninsula District champs. TaNya Henson had 17 points, 12 rebounds and six steals. Jordein Holder had 15 points, 11 rebounds and four steals.

#5 Manor 100, Norcom 27

Ca’Asia Brown had a triple-double (24 points, 11 assists, 10 steals), Jha’Ziya Babb had 25 points, seven steals and five assists, while Alanah Jones had 24 points, eight steals and five assists. Leah Williams added 12 points and nine rebounds.

#11 Hampton 82, Heritage 14

Candance Puryear had 14 points, while Jiana Price and Mekhi Taylor added 12 apiece for the Crabbers.

#13 Grassfield 63, Oscar Smith 21

Lauren Priester scored 21 points and Avia Scruggs 15 for the Grizzlies.

Jaliyah Nettles finished with 34 points and 13 rebounds.

Gabby Eaton scored 13 points and Ella Rivera 11 for the Tigers. MaKayla Keys and Kenzie Charity netted 10 apiece for the Rams.

Kecoughtan 57, Denbigh 29

Amora Jackson-Colon had 16 points and seven steals, while Ka’Nyia Tucker had 15 points, 16 rebounds and three steals. Aleeah Jones had 10 points and five rebounds. Jaiya Williams chipped in 10 rebounds, seven assists and eight steals.

Woodside 59, Phoebus 37

Ayana Whiting scored 18 points and Keila Wells 17 for the Wolverines, who led 17-0 after the first quarter. India Hill scored 17 for the Phantoms.

Cape Henry Collegiate 57, Hickory 26

Cali Rivera had 13 points, 11 rebounds and six steals for the Dolphins. Carmen Rivera added 19 points, three rebounds and two steals. Brynn Johnson provided 13 points, six rebounds, six assists and six steals.

Private schools

Atlantic Shores Christian 46, StoneBridge 24

Rayven Benn amassed 20 points, 10 rebounds and three steals. Allie Brewley contributed 14 points, eight rebounds and seven steals.

Portsmouth Christian 64, Gateway Christian 16

Jenna Patrick scored 23 points and Lauren Williams 18 for the Patriots. Emma Anderson paced Gateway with six.

Jamestown was first and Lafayette second for both boys and girls in the Class 4 Region A championships, which included 11 schools.

Indoor track and field

VISAA

North Cross, from Roanoke, won the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association championships in Division II indoor track for boys and girls. Among girls, StoneBridge was third, Peninsula Catholic fourth and Cape Henry fifth. Among boys, sixth-place Nansemond-Suffolk was the 757’s top teams, with Peninsula Catholic seventh and StoneBridge eighth.
