Victor George’s 14 points and eight rebounds led the Patriots in an early-season Peninsula District showdown. Kevin Parker had 13 points and six rebounds for Denbigh, followed by Nasir Johnson’s 11 points and six assists. The Crabbers got 12 points from Joshua Rice and 11 from Jawaun Tucker.

Kellam 74, Kempsville 58
Brody Cooper’s 19 points and six assists led the Knights. Trey Barnhart added 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Ben Johnson chipped in 10 points and five rebounds. For the Chiefs, Christian Lynch scored 33 and Nataeyah Johnson 10.

Bethel 62, Heritage 30
Greg Williams III had 18 points, three steals and three rebounds for the Bruins. Mason Faulkner had 13 points, eight assists and three steals.
Menchville 63, Warwick 33
Miles Graham scored 12 points and Marcel Richardson 10 for the Monarchs. Jacob Green had eight points for the Raiders.

Porter Duncan’s 20 points led the Dolphins. Leyton Harrington had 13 points and HJarley Matela 11 for Cape Henry.

Christien Mason had 24 points for the Seahawks, while Zion Denson had 11. Noah Eddy and DJ Gayden added nine points each. Chase Woods had five points and eight assists, and Jonas Walker four points and five assists.

All 11 Saints scored, led by freshman Sebastian Mitchell.

Maddie Leach had 22 points, nine assists, six rebounds and four steals for the Monarchs. TaNya Henson had 13 points, 11 rebounds, 10 blocks and two steals. JaiDen Rhodes had 16 points, two assists, three rebounds and four steals. Jaliyah Nettles paced the Raiders with nine points.

Mia Spain finished with 24 points and Kate Spain 17 for the Knights, who led 48-12 at halftime. Laurel Dick scored 12 for Kellam.

Mekhi Taylor had 21 points and seven steals and Zuriel Pendleton-Morant had 23 points and seven steals for the Crabbers.

Taylor Ragland had 26 points and 11 steals for the Clippers, and Mya Napoleoni had 25 points. Katherine Wenger had 18 points and Hope Barnard 10 for Grafton. The Tigers’ Haley Atkins had 15 points.

D’Shela Walker poured in 28 points for the Lions. Bria McAdoo added 13 points. Kendall Green scored 15 for the Falcons and Giuliana Woods eight.

Cierra Selby enjoyed a superlative game for the Braves: 33 points, 12 steals, five rebounds, two blocks and five assists.

Maria Delyannis led the Bulldogs with a career-high 31 points, and Vivi Deans added 14 rebounds.
