No. 1 Kempsville d. No. 4 Green Run, 3-0

Wyatt Strawbridge and Thien Tran each recorded six aces for the top-seeded Chiefs. Trent Beeson and Will Laezon totaled eight and five respective kills, while Rylan Patterson added seven kills and two aces. Trevor Strawbridge and Hunter Pugh added four kills each.

No. 3 Indian River d. No. 2 Hickory, 3-0

Jaden Norman, Bobby Johnson, Evan Mason, Mohammed Badji and Francisco Lloret combined for 37 kills. Dawkins Rombaoa contributed 34 assists for the Braves. Indian River challenges No. 1 Kempsville for the Class 5 Region A championship on Saturday at Deep Creek High.

Class 5 Region B semifinals

No. 1 Warwick d. No. 5 Kecoughtan, 3-0

The Raiders defeated the Warriors in straight sets.

No. 2 Granby d. No. 3 Maury, 3-2

(25-19, 23-25, 18-25, 25-13, 21-19)

Andrew Parker and Alijah Lamp each finished with 13 kills and six aces for the winning Comets. Davis Mendoza led defensively with 53 digs. Granby advances to the Class 5 Region B finals against No. 1 Warwick on Saturday at 7 p.m., hosted by Norview High.

Class 5 Region D semifinals

No. 1 Kellam d. No. 4 Princess Anne, 3-0

The Knights were led by Nathan Pyka with 16 kills, and Tavron “The Ace” Wood followed with seven kills.

The Patriots and No. 1 Kellam meet for the Class 5 Region D championship on Saturday at Deep Creek High.

No. 1 Kellam d. No. 4 Indian River, 3-0

Senior Sophie Barnes led the top-seeded Knights with a double-double of 10 kills and 10 digs. Senior Riley Erwin added eight kills and 15 assists, while junior Mia Schmidt logged nine kills. Junior setter Emmie Irving provided 20 assists and seven digs. Libero Giulia Allison finished with 19 digs, and Bella D’Adarria contributed seven digs.

No. 3 Ocean Lakes d. No. 2 Cox, 3-0

Santina Martcheva led with 15 kills, while Skyler Smith and Alexis Broggin combined for 24 digs. Lyla Shannon and Kennedy Walls totaled six blocks, and Carmela Mendoza contributed 20 assists. The Dolphins combined for 15 aces. Ocean Lakes faces No. 1 Kellam in the Class 5 Region A finals on Saturday at Deep Creek High.

Sadie Stafford and Margaret Manzer combined for 19 kills. Khalani Muhammad and Kayla Sweeney tallied three aces each for the Commodores.

The Monarchs were led by Caroline Clements with 16 kills and Emma Wade with 33 assists. Top-seeded Maury hosts Menchville on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the Class 5 Region B championship game.
