No. 11 Hampton held onto second place in the Peninsula District with a big second half. The Crabbers (11-5, 8-2 district) led just 13-9 but methodically built on their lead from there.
Zuriel Pendleton-Morant scored eight of her game-high 16 points in the fourth quarter, when the Crabbers outscored the Wolverines (7-4, 5-3) 10-3. Ayana Whiting scored 15 points for Woodside.

The Cavaliers won all three relays in a meet at Bayside Recreation Center in Virginia Beach. Single-event winners were Lucas Wedin Wicks in the 100 freestyle (1:01.87), freshman AJ Helwig in the 400 free (4:45.91), Slater Templeton in the 100 back (1:17.31) and Hayden Chase in the 100 breast (1:22.24). Kempsville’s Coyle Moore was a double-event winner with the 200 IM (2:17.21) and the 100 fly (1:00.44).

Nate Moore (31-3) won the 175-pound finals by forfeit.
Chris Funches (23-4) defeated Landstown’s Chase Nilo in a 9-1 major decision in the heavyweight 285-pound finals.
