Norfolk Academy 59, George Washington 52

The Bulldogs advanced to the tournament final in Danville by defeating the hosting Eagles. Isaac Zito led Norfolk Academy with 23 points. Archer Cutter and Danny Howerin were also double-figure scorers with 14 and 11 points, respectively. Norfolk Academy meets Green Run at George Washington High on Thursday.

#5 Hampton 58, Menchville 25

The Crabbers were led in a Peninsula District triumph by Joshua Rice with 19 points, Jawaun Tucker with 12 points and Gavin Kay with 11 points.

#7 Catholic 65, Collegiate 56

Dean Williams led the Crusaders over the Cougars of Richmond with 22 points. Tabren Hawkins Jr. and Jonathan Lee added 13 and 11 respective points.

Hanover 74, #13 Warhill 71

The Hawks were victorious at home. Jaydin McLean scored 18 points for the Lions.

Nondistrict

Churchland 65, Cape Henry Collegiate 62

Quiare Crittenden finished with 20 points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals for the Truckers. Xavier Merritt recorded 19 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Floyd Logan scored eight points, and Jayden Pearson provided eight rebounds. The Dolphins trailed 52-31 after three quarters but rallied by scoring as many points in the last eight minutes as they had scored in the first 24.

Smithfield 59, Franklin 47

Jaden Sherin earned a double-double for the Packers (3-4) with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Tim Giles logged 10 points, five assists and three steals. Kwame Bligen added 10 points, six rebounds and four blocks. Noah Perry represented the Broncos with 13 points.

#12 Grassfield 50, James Monroe 17

The Grizzlies overcame the Yellow Jackets of Fredericksburg and won the Orange Division consolation game. Lauren Priester, Alex Thompson and Khadijah Rashid were all double-figure scorers with 15, 12 and 10 respective points.

Black Division

Green Run 50, Granby 37

Lauren Johnson led the Stallions in a consolation-game victory with 21 points and five rebounds. Destini Collins followed with 12 points and four assists, while Ashlii Toliver added eight points.

Blue Division

Lake Taylor 49, Legion Collegiate Academy (South Carolina) 6

Jamyah Parker scored 15 points as the Titans won the Blue Division consolation game over a team from Rock Hill. Jewel Smith totaled nine points, while Joelle Williams and Eternity Washington each provided eight points.

Red Division

Lakeland 83, Norcom 42

Janae Carter tallied 27 points, six assists, six steals and five rebounds for the Cavaliers. Aubrianna Paiz recorded 20 points, six assists and five steals. Jada Durham and Leah Joyner each scored 14 points. Durham added eight assists and six steals, while Joyner earned a double-double with 10 rebounds.

Western Branch 52, Norview 33

The Bruins (5-3) were led by Suki Warden with 22 points and four assists against the Pilots.

John Wall Holiday Invitational Tournament

#1 Princess Anne 70, Bullis (Maryland) 57

The Cavaliers captured the tournament championship in Raleigh, North Carolina. Jizelle James scored 18 points, and Micah Ojo earned a double-double with 17 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and four steals. Tristan Rickenbacker finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and two steals.

Tampa Bay Christmas Invitational

#2 Catholic 49, Sycamore (Ohio) 43

Caroline Casady earned a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Crusaders past the Aviators of Cincinnati in the fifth-place game of the Ava Marie Island bracket. Justice Brown-Jones finished with 14 points and five assists, while Riley Lynch tallied 11 points and three steals. Catholic finished 2-1 in the invitational.

#3 Menchville 63, #10 Hampton 30

The visiting Monarchs were led by Maddie Leach with 19 points, six assists and five rebounds. JaiDen Rhodes followed with 18 points, four assists and four rebounds. Nevaeh Reid totaled 15 points, seven assists and five rebounds.
