The Lions improved to 3-2 by blanking the Falcons (2-2) at Bailey Field. It was Warhill’s second shutout in 18 meetings against York.

Peninsula District

Bethel 53, Kecoughtan 0

Hampton University recruit Amari Pryear scored four touchdowns as the Bruins (3-2) got the running clock going and won a Hampton rivalry game with the Warriors (2-3) at Darling Stadium. In 57 previous matchups, never had Bethel scored more points. Pryear scored on rushes of 71, 11 and 4 yards. The other came on an 86-yard catch-and-run from Alex Lewis, who passed for three TDs and ran for two — all in a 33-0 first half. Kasyn Campbell scored on catches of 38 and 14 yards.

Woodside 41, Menchville 21

The Wolverines leveled their record at 2-2 by outplaying the Monarchs (0-4) at Todd Stadium in Newport News. It was Woodside’s first victory over Menchville in their last four clashes. The game was stopped with 7:17 remaining because of lightning.

Nondistrict

Southampton 30, Lakeland 0

The host Indians (3-1) doomed the Cavaliers to an 0-4 record.

The Tigers won their 100th consecutive game, joining a VHSL club that includes just a handful of programs, by trouncing the visiting Packers. Tabb is seeking its 12th state championship in coach Wendy Wilson’s era.

#2 Norfolk Academy 8, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy 0

Allie Tyszko had three goals and an assist, and Audrey Lukevics had two goals and two assists. Sophia Galiotos had two goals, and Livi Kohler scored once. Sallie Carter McCabe, Mia Jones and Verity Huddleston had assists.

#4 Cox 18, Green Run 0

Bella Glenn scored four goals, and Leah Daves recorded another hat trick. Rose Holland was credited with four assists.

#9 York 6, New Kent 0

Lexi Anderson had two goals and an assist, and Heidi Harbin scored twice. Sloan Beach had a goal and an assist, Natalie Moss had a goal, and Gracie White, Chevelle Claypool and Brit Barnes provided assists.

Caroline Jones scored unassisted on a third-quarter penalty corner and assisted Addison Drake’s goal on a corner in the fourth for the visiting Hawks.
