At the Hampton Holiday Invitational, Jawaun Tucker scored 17 points and Joshua Rice had 15 to lead a balanced Crabbers offense. Joel Fullwood netted 13 points and Gavin Kay 12. Norcom’s Demarcus Edwards scored 18.

Tyson Harper had 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Warriors in Florida at the Holiday Basketball Classic of the Palm Beaches. Melvin Wofford Jr. had 10 points, three rebounds and three assists for the Bulldogs, who moved ahead 16-8 in the first quarter and maintained control. Isaiah Inman had 10 points and five rebounds, and Desmon Hubbard had eight points and three rebounds.

Quinton Cruse led the Warriors with 15 points and Micaiah Mitchell scored 10 as they edged a Wilmington school that’s Michael Jordan’s alma mater.

The Tigers dominated the host Cougars in the Joseph A. Ellis Christmas Tournament championship game. Corrin Buckingham posted a triple-double with 11 points, 12 assists and 11 steals. Cason Fitch had 15 points and 10 rebounds, Stephen Walton had 18 points, five rebounds and five steals, and Rashaun Newsome provided 16 points.

Kelley King and Stephen Walton scored 19 points each and combined for nine steals in the Joseph A. Ellis Christmas Tournament at Surry County High. Corrin Buckingham had 11 points, five rebounds and six assists, and Cason Fitch scored 11 as coach Lavar Griffin’s team won the clash of Tigers.

The Cavaliers dominated the Raleigh-area Titans in the John Wall Holiday Invitational Tournament first round at Southeast Raleigh High. Tristan Rickenbacker led the Cavaliers with 21 points, 10 rebounds, two blocks and two assists. She made 9 out of 10 free throws. Micah Ojo had 12 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks. Jizelle James scored eight points. Maya Land-Dailey added six points, four assists, four steals and four blocks.

The Bulldogs lost at the Holiday of the Palm Beaches Classic to the Miami-area Titans (10-1) despite Rylie Hite’s 25 points and Brittany Evans’ 17.
