The visiting Titans bounced back well from Friday night’s emotional overtime loss to seventh-ranked Norview. Jamari Edwards scored 19 and Jacarri Jones 12 for Lake Taylor. Kevin Parker paced the Patriots with 13 points.

Heritage 80, Tabb 56

VJ Herring’s 21 points and Mekhi Watkins’ 19 points and nine rebounds propelled the Hurricanes.

Kecoughtan 61, Grafton 53

Decorey Cassell’s 17 points and 13 rebounds and Briant Galbreath’s 11 points and 14 rebounds propelled the Warriors at Denbigh’s showcase. Zay Hendricks scored 12 for the Clippers.

Kempsville 83, Indian River 71

Jacques Mitchell had 16 points and six of the Chiefs’ 19 assists. Christian Lynch led Kempsville with 20 points. Jaydis Flot and Cameron Garwood grabbed six rebounds apiece. For the Braves, Chris Edwards scored 26 and Marcellus Connor 13.

Norfolk Academy 57, Cox 49

Danny Howerin’s 21 points and Isaac Zito’s 16 propelled the Bulldogs. Cox’s Nathan Lessley and Roy Coles scored 16 apiece.

Salem 66, Lafayette 53

Joziah Mincey had 20 points and eight rebounds for the SunDevils, while Terrell Lewis had 15 points and seven rebounds. Ean Tucker added 10 points and five rebounds, Jason Patrick had nine points, Haziyah Brown had six points and six assists, and Reggie Wilson provided six assists, five rebounds, three assists and two points. For the Rams, Theodor Conradi scored 15, Nalante Henretta 13 and Kordell London 11.

The Lancers, ranked No. 1 among state teams in Class 6 by MaxPreps, won in overtime after the Knights — thanks to Mia Spain’s 39 points, including her career 1,000th — erased a 29-15 first-quarter deficit. KK Edwards led Manchester with 24 points, Madison Smith had 21 and Finley Weaver added 16. For the Knights, Lizzie Clark chipped in 13 points and Kate Spain had 13 assists.

#10 Hampton 50, #15 Green Run 41

Zuriel Pendleton-Morant’s 18 points and seven steals and ChriShiya Rogers’ 16 points and 10 rebounds propelled the Crabbers. Ashlii Toliver scored 17 for Green Run.

#12 Grassfield 67, John Marshall 36

Khadijah Rashid led the Grizzlies with 29 points at the MLK Classic in Northern Virginia. Ellery Giddens added 15 (on five 3-pointers) and Lauren Priester added 13.

Oscar Smith 55, Pasquotank (North Carolina) 24

Crystal Speller scored a career-high 13 points and fellow senior McKenzie Reid scored 12 for the Tigers. Amya Price and Aniya Lee both had nine rebounds.

Adalyn Mercier (200- and 100-yard freestyles), Sophia Lyashenko (200 individual medley, 100 breaststroke) and Kyrsten Jones (100 butterfly and 100 backstroke) won two individual races apiece for the Hawks.
