Boys Basketball

Dr. Phillips 53, The First Academy (Orlando) 50

Buzz: Josiah “Jo Jo” Gillard scored 17 points and brother Isaiah Gillard added 11 more as DP (5-4) staved off a rally by TFA (7-2). Malachi Baker had 8 points and 7 rebounds in the win. The Royals were led by Cory McPherson (15 points), LJ Bacon (12) and Max Simmons (11).

Olympia 50, Windermere 49

Buzz: Kevin Edou had 14 points and 7 rebounds for the Titans (8-1) in the rivalry win while James Nowells had 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 steals and Bishop Wenze added 9 points and 9 rebounds. Ben Bunnel had 22 points and 16 rebounds for Windermere (4-4) while Lucas Boyd added 10 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals.

Innovation 57, Lake Mary Prep 53

Buzz: Carlos Naranjo led the Bulls (4-6) to the victory with 24 points. Lake Mary Prep (6-2) was led by Jake Caporaso’s 26 points.

Lake Howell 65, Masters Academy 35

Buzz: Issac Buckley had 14 points and 6 rebounds for Lake Howell (8-2) while Ethan Diaz added 21 points and 7 rebounds. Hunter Nickerson had 20 points for the Eagles (4-6) in the loss.

Winter Park 52, Boone 46

Buzz: The Wildcats (6-3) were led by Will Ryan’s 25 points while Remington Ferrer added 9 points and 10 rebounds. Boone (4-4) was led by Bryce Deas with 14 points.

Liberty 78, Cypress Creek 72

Buzz: Shawne Dadzie led the Chargers (4-2) with 23 points and 10 rebounds while Camryn Irvin had 22 points and 5 steals. Julian Soria had 14 points and 9 rebounds while Elias Diaz added 10 points.

Buzz: Nate Waldon led Foundation (5-4) with 15 points and 5 rebounds.
