Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Rush are bringing their 2026 50th-anniversary tour to Hard Rock Live in Hollywood on Thursday, Nov. 5.
The show is among 17 new stops the band added to their Fifty Something tour, prompted by overwhelming demand for the original dates in seven North American cities, all of which were quick sellouts.
In a video announcing the new dates on the tour, the first for Rush since their R40 Tour 11 years ago, co-founders Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, expressed their shock at its popularity.
“We are blown away by the response to the announcement we made a few weeks ago that we’re going back on tour,” Lee said. “And I cannot tell you how surprising and overwhelmed we are.”
Tickets for the Hard Rock Live concert will be available via an artist presale that will begin at noon Monday, Oct. 27, at Rush.com. Fans can register for the presale by 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at LiveMu.sc/rush.
Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets from noon Friday, Oct. 24, through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26. Visit CitiEntertainment.com.
The general ticket sale will begin at noon on Friday, Oct. 31, at Rush.com.
The tour also will serve as a celebration of the life of iconic drummer and lyricist Neil Peart, who died in 2020. Sitting in for Peart will be German drummer, composer and producer Anika Nilles, who has performed frequently as Jeff Beck’s drummer and has four solo albums to her credit.
With the tour, Rush has released a 50-track anthology, “RUSH 50,” a wide-ranging survey of their music, from their 1973 debut single, a cover of Buddy Holly’s “Not Fade Away,” to a live recording the final song Lee, Lifeson, and Peart performed together to conclude the R40 Tour in Los Angeles.
