The Miami Hurricanes dropped several spots in the major polls following their first loss of the season: a 24-21 home defeat against Louisville.
Miami dropped seven spots to No.9 in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll following Friday night’s loss to the Cardinals. UM also dropped to No. 9 in the USA Today Coaches Poll and the FWAA-NFF Super 16.
Despite the drop, Miami stayed in the top 10, where it has been all season.
After beating the Hurricanes, the Cardinals entered the AP top 25 at No. 19.
The Hurricanes do not currently have another ranked opponent left on the schedule. The ACC has four ranked teams: Miami, Louisville, Virginia and Georgia Tech.
