Hurricanes flip four-star prospect Keshawn Stancil from Clemson

The Hurricanes flipped a top prospect from an ACC rival on Wednesday night.

Four-star 2026 prospect Keshawn Stancil opted for Miami over Clemson, flipping from to the Hurricanes and announcing his decision on social media. He is the second blue-chip prospect to join UM’s class in as many days, joining four-star wide receiver Milan Parris.

Stancil, a North Carolina native, is listed as the No. 23 interior defensive lineman and No. 168 player in the class, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. He had been committed to the Tigers since June. Stancil also visited Miami that month.

In 2024, Stancil, who is 6-4 and 280 pounds, had 63 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, nine sacks and three forced fumbles. So far this season, he has 56 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, four sacks and two forced fumbles.

Stancil’s twitch, power, and violence fit what the Hurricanes want from their defensive linemen, a UM source told the Sun Sentinel. He also competes in shot put.

Stancil is one of four interior defensive linemen in Miami’s 2026 class. He joins three-star prospects Anthony Kennedy Jr., Tyson Bacon and Frederic Sainteus. After the two recent commitments, the Hurricanes’ class is currently ranked 12th in the nation and first in the ACC.
