The Hurricanes added to their top-10 recruiting class on the first day of the Early Signing Period.
Four-star linebacker Karsten Busch committed to and signed with Miami on Wednesday, picking UM over Wisconsin in an afternoon signing ceremony.
Busch was previously committed to his hometown school, Louisville, but backed off his pledge on Nov. 24.
Busch is listed as the No. 33 linebacker and No. 438 player in the class.
Miami brought Busch in for a late official visit last weekend, and the linebacker raved about the trip in an interview with 247Sports.
“It’s just a beautiful place,” Busch told 247Sports. “Loved getting to Miami for the first time. Great facilities, great campus tour, great people. Just kind of (learned) more about the defense, more of what (Corey Hetherman) has in store for me. Me and (Mario) Cristobal had really good conversations of what they think I can do here.”
Busch had 110 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and one sack in his senior season, and he notched 13 catches for 274 yards and five touchdowns on offense.
Busch is the second linebacker in UM’s class, joining three-star Justin Edwards.
