The Miami Hurricanes maintained their spot as one of the top teams in the nation in this week’s polls.
Miami climbed to No. 2 after beating rival FSU in Tallahassee. Only Ohio State is ahead of UM in this week’s Associated Press Top 25 Poll. The Hurricanes received 21 first-place votes to Ohio State’s 40. In terms of voting points total, Miami trails the Buckeyes 1620-1579.
The Hurricanes also rank third in the USA Today Coaches Poll and the FWAA-NFF Super 16.
After losing to Miami, Florida State fell from No. 18 to No. 25. Florida did not re-enter the rankings despite beating then-No. 9 Texas on Saturday.
Miami has wins over three ranked teams this season: No. 16 Notre Dame, No. 24 USF and No. 25 FSU.
The Hurricanes do not currently have any more ranked opponents on the schedule. They face one other team that received votes: Louisville.
