Hurricanes move up in polls after rolling to win over Syracuse

The Miami Hurricanes were ranked a disappointing 18th in the first College Football Playoff rankings last week, but if the polls on Sunday are any indication, UM should inch up this week.

Miami moved up two spots in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll to No. 16 this week after its win against Syracuse. The Hurricanes also moved up two spots to No. 16 in the USA Today Coaches Poll, and they re-entered the FWAA-NFF Super 16 at No. 16.

UM, which has been ranked throughout the season, has one ranked opponent left on the schedule: No. 23 Pittsburgh.

Miami is the second-highest ranked ACC team, trailing No. 14 Georgia Tech, which did not play this weekend.
