A 47-year-old man died in a crash late Saturday on Southport Road in Osceola County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Just before 9:30 p.m. the man from Kissimmee was travelling westbound on Southport Road approaching Hunt Road in a 2014 Chrysler Town & Country when he failed to negotiate a curve to the left and hit a mailbox, FHP said.
He then continued and struck a tree and fence, FHP said.
He died at the scene, the agency said.
The crash remains under investigation.
