A bomb threat prompted an early dismissal Monday morning at Allen High School, according to officials, the latest in a series of threats made against Allentown School District buildings.
District spokesperson Melissa Reese said school leaders, city police and city firefighters are thoroughly investigating the threat. The school was dismissed at 10:45 a.m., she said.
Police Capt. Daniel Gross said the threat is still under investigation, and more information will be released later.
A threat was made earlier this month at Allen High School, which prompted an evacuation while police and firefighters swept the school.
Two bomb threats were made a week earlier at Trexler Middle School. A student was charged in each of those incidents.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
