A man has died after being shot in Waterbury on Monday evening.
Officers responded to the report of shots fired shortly before 7:50 p.m. outside 94 Charles St. where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, according to Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police Department.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, Bessette said. His identity was not immediately released.
Bessette said the incident is being investigated as a homicide by the police department’s Major Crimes Unit.
