A man died after falling off a roof in Waterbury on Thursday.

Officers responded to a three-family home on South View Street at 11:42 a.m. on the report of a man who fell three stories as he was doing work on the roof, according to the Waterbury Police Department.

The man was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. His identity was not immediately released.

The incident remains under investigation.
