NORFOLK — A man died following a shooting Thursday evening, according to a social media post by the Norfolk Police Department.

The police received the call about the shooting at about 5:45 p.m. Thursday. The shooting happened in the 800 block of Whitaker Lane, which is located by the Young Terrace Community Center.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police did not release any additional information, including the identity of anyone involved.
