VIRGINIA BEACH — A man died after a shooting Saturday morning, according to a news release from the Virginia Beach Police Department.

On Saturday at 7:01 a.m., the Virginia Beach Emergency Communications and Citizen Services received a call about a person with a gunshot wound in the 1300 block of Pinecone Circle. This block has multifamily homes and is located off of Lynnhaven Parkway.

When officers and first responders arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers have suspects in custody, but did not release the identity of anyone involved.

This case is still under investigation.
