A man was shot multiple times in an alleged drive-by shooting in Hartford on Monday evening, police said.
Officers were dispatched to the area of 500 block of Maple Avenue on a ShotSpotter notification around 7:07 p.m. on Monday, according to Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police Department.
Arriving officers located a gunshot victim, who suffered multiple gunshots wounds while inside a motor vehicle, Boisvert said.
The victim, identified as a man in his 20s, was transported to Hartford Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, according to Boisvert.
Bosivert said it is believed that the shots came from another vehicle in the area. “At this time, it is unknown what led up to the shooting,” he said.
The Hartford Police Department’s Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions are conduct the ongoing investigation.
