A man was critically injured in a shooting in New Haven on Monday.

Officers responded to report of a gunshot victim in the area on Chapel Street and Ellsworth Avenue on Monday afternoon, according to the New Haven Police Department.

Police said the victim, a 34-year-old man from New Haven, was listed in critical condition at an area hospital on Monday.
