Man who died in Allentown crash is identified

Officials have identified the 25-year-old man who died Saturday morning in a crash in Allentown.

Isaiah Ewell of Allentown died after his vehicle hit a utility pole about 6 a.m. in the area of Union Boulevard and Quebec Street, according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio.

Ewell was traveling westbound in the 1700 block of Union Boulevard when his vehicle left the road and hit the pole, city police said. Ewell, the only occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Buglio said his cause of death was multiple blunt-force trauma, with the manner accidental.

The crash is still under investigation.
