The head and torso of a man were found in a garbage bag outside a building in Brooklyn on Friday morning, police sources said.
An “unconscious, unresponsive” man “with trauma to the body” was found shortly after 9 a.m. near E. 21st St. and Ditmas Ave. in Flatbush and pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. According to sources, the man’s head and torso were found in a bag near the garbage area of a building.

Police are currently investigating. The city’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
Sources said a person of interest was in custody.
So far no arrests have been made.
